While you’re in that area, you might also want to stop by the Barton Springs Pool. It’s manmade and three acres in size. Usually the temperature of the water is 68 to 70 degrees. This might be the ideal spot to visit with your entire family.
The SoCo District is also a pretty fun part of town. There are all sorts of quirky shops on South Congress. It’ll be fun just to walk down the street and pop into the shops that grab your attention. On the first Thursday of every month, this part of town gets filled with all types of music as well.
If you’re interested in comedy, you can check out Sure Thing on Saturday nights at Austin Java. You can enjoy a cup of coffee while listening to some jokes and laughing along.
While you’re in town, take a moment to order food from one of the food trucks. There are a lot of them around Austin, and they provide a variety of options on food. There are food trucks that sell pizza, tacos, ice cream, or funnel cakes, and there are more options as well. Austin is really big on supporting local businesses, and there are a lot of them in this city. If you’re in Austin, you might as well eat the local food.
